Common questions
- Can I try before I buy?
- Yes. Your first 4 passes are free, and each pass paints four versions of one style. Previews carry a Stately Vows watermark. Payment is only required to download clean files or order a print.
- What happens if I'm not happy with my portraits?
- Start another pass: try a different style or adjust the descriptors. The first 4 passes are free, then 10 more cost $10. Sales are final once you pay, but a damaged, defective or misprinted item is replaced or refunded: write to support@painted.app (see Refunds & Returns).
- Are my photos stored on your servers?
- No. Your reference photos are transmitted directly to our AI processing partner to generate your portraits and are not retained by us. Generated portraits are stored privately in your account so you can access them later.
- How long does shipping take?
- Everything is made to order. Apparel and accessories are printed by Printful in the US, and each order is checked by hand before it goes into production, so we do not promise a delivery date.
- Can I use my portraits commercially?
- No. Your portraits are for personal, non-commercial use: keep them, print them, share them and give them as gifts. Selling them, putting them on products for sale, or using them to promote a business is not included (Terms, section 5).
